May Day…Annapolis Style

One of my favorite events in Annapolis is the annual May Day basket displays throughout the downtown area. Businesses and private residents vie for the coveted winning ribbons and an invite to the beautiful tea party sponsored by the garden club. Enjoy some of my favorites…and consider visiting Annapolis for this wonderful event next year! You can stop by my house for a little tea and conversation.

  1. Happy Mother’s Day to YOU! A Mother is “born” the moment she first holds her child, no matter where they originated. A beautiful post and sweet photo too. Thank-you!

  2. I love how you’ve captured the big beauty in small moments! Though becoming a mother is no small thing! I pray God will continue to bless you with His beauty!

  3. What a beautiful tradition! I love it! I live in Australia, we don’t have anything like this, although have open garden days when people open their private gardens to the public to visit.

I would love to join you in a cup of tea! You’re most welcome to drop by for a cuppa now!

  4. What a fabulous event! I love May Day!! As a child in 5th grade we got to wind the May Pole. I have a friend that leaves me a May Day basket on my porch each year. Being a mother is one of my greatest blessings! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

    1. Thank you. I had no idea my husband took that picture until we returned home. I think it captures the years it took to reach this point. I am so blessed. I hope your weekend was marvelous as well.
